Dear Sirs,
I’m writing to thank you, and in particular your recovery
driver, for rescuing my wife and myself when our car broke down on A46 Lincoln
By-pass yesterday.
The fan belt failed on our Toyota Avensis, and after a response
by the RAC it was deemed necessary to take us home to Louth in a truck, with
the ailing car on the back.
After some administrative bungling by the RAC it was over
four hours from the initial call before the truck got to us. Fortunately it was
Andy Webb at the wheel, and as darkness took over he set about reassuring us
from what had become a stressful situation. He was friendly, courteous and
efficient and soon got the car loaded and us installed in the cab. It took most
of an hour to get back to Louth, where the procedure was reversed, and
throughout Andy was chatty and supportive.
I should mention that my wife and I are in out 70’s, and I
have a heart condition (angina) which requires daily medication whilst I await
a bypass operation in Nottingham. The drugs were at home, and the time for
taking them had become overdue. I am also an insulin-dependent diabetic, though
I did have plenty of both insulin and glucose with me.
In 50 years of motoring I have never had need of a recovery
truck before, and my experience with your company was positive.
